Problems with Windows Server 2003 domain controller (it will take 4 to 5 minutes to show log in window)
--------------------------------------------
I have a Windows 2003 server (not SBS) acting as Domain controller and 15 win XP machines accessing it. After 1 years of working fine, but now I?ve noticed my Domain controller taking too much time (approx. 4 to 5 min) to show login Screen.

Does anyone know what's the exact problem & why Domain controller behaving like that.

I also examined the Event Viewer but I didn?t find any critical problem except this error in DNS Server section.

?The DNS server has encountered a critical error from the Active Directory. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly?

My Domain Controller Hardware configuration as under
1.Mother Board SE7221BA1-E
2.Processor Intel P4 3.2Ghz
3.RAM 1 GB
4.2 SATA Harddisks 1 for master
2 for Mirror
5.Dual Network Card
6.Floppy Drive
7.Sony DVD Writer

Service Running on DC
1.Configure DC
2.DNS
3.DHCP
4.Print Server
5.Only File Sharing not properly configured the File Server

Software configuration as under
6.Window server 2003 Enterprise Edition
7.Office 2003
8.SQL server 2003
9.Symantec Antivirus 10
10.Nero for Sony Dvd
11.Virtual PC software
12.Visual Studio 6 just installed but not in running state

An Earlier response regarding this issue will be appreciated

Thankyou
SK
