    ProCurve Switch 1800-24G (J9028B)

    Locked

Has anyone had any experience with this? Actually, I plan to get 3 and stack them. Would there be any issues I should be aware of? What alternatives would you suggest in this price range. 60 devices, 2 groups (not domains), 1 domain, 3 servers (2 as file servers).

We’ve deployed that switch at several clients over the past several months. So far no problems. Easy to set up, web interface for port based VLAN, gigabit on all switchports.

At that pricepoint, obviously it’s not in the same class as some of the other Procurve models or the other higher switch manufacturers, but for a solid gigabit switch with basic management functionality at a nice price, it’s tough to beat.

          VPN?

We have been running these for a couple of years and they are excellent at the price.

The only issue I have found is that we are unable to connect to our VPN servers (Microsoft RRAS) This happens with both our switches, we plug into another non HP switch and they work fine. Has anyone else experienced this?
