I am trying to promote a secondary DC to an existing domain that is hosted by a 2008 Standard server. Everytime I run dcpromo on the secondary DC’s I get the following Error:
Active Directory could not replicate the directory partition CN=Schema, CN=Configuration, DC=My-Corp, DC=MyDomain, DC=COM from the remote domain controller Server1.my-corp.mydomain.com.
“While accessing the hard disk, a disk operation failed even after retries.”
I have tried to promote to different installations of 2003 r2 to the domain and i get the same error, which eliminates hardware issues.
I have also run netdiag test, dcdiag test, etc and all tests pass.
Any help would be appreciated.
