public folders

By hakeem.shagosh ·
We have to remove the public folders from our Exchange Server 2000. Is there a way to export Exchange public folder data using Outlook before it is deleted? For example, I have many calendars set up in the public folders. Can I export the Exchange public folder calendar to another location so it can be accessed by Microsoft Outlook?

New location

Your question doesn't say as to where these folders will reside. Microsoft makes a migration tool to go from Exc to Exc.

Why must you delete them?

Two questions...why do you need to delete them and if you do what are you backing up with? Also why not just replicate them to another exchange server and then recreate them by repping back when you are done?
