Adding a second IP address to one network card is fairly simple, but what exactly are you trying to accomplish? Is adding a second IP address going to achieve your desired results??

Control Panel > Network Connections > Right click on your adapter > Properties > Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) > Properties > Advanced Then click the Add button under the section that says IP address. Make sure your subnet mask is correct, and VOILA!!

Post back if this doesn't get you to your final goal.

I'm thinking you're not going to graduate from your Networking course.

1 IP per NIC at one time....you need a second NIC to run 2 at the same time.....duplicating your network connection icon does nothing.....you have to create a new connection.

Like the previous posters asked....explain what it is you're trying to do.
