readdressing a netware network

By bweeks ·
I've got 2 sites that werr orginally setup using public routable IP schemes. They each contain a netware server (6.5SP1a at one site 6.0SP3 at the other) (Both using DHCP) How hard would it be readdress those networks on to a 10.x.x.x scheme? Any suggestions would be most appricated.

It's not too bad if you're only looking at two servers and they're each in their own tree. I think the issues around changing an IP address get hairy when considering PKI and the server that's the CA for a tree. Grab the tool pkidiag2 from
Novell has a reasonable TID that goes through what'll need to be changed based on what is installed, however the TID doesn't tell you have to change them.

I'm not clear what you are saying? Assuming your NW6.x servers have static addresses (They Must have) then it's rather tricky and depends upon what web services (Apache, Java etc) are running. There are some good docs at explaining the steps.
Certainly the servers will need a re-boot and you'll need to run a dsrepair and repair all network addresses. You'll also be well advised to kick off a dstrace *l (limber) on your servers in NDS.
