Reboot every 10 minutes

Using Windows XP, my computer reboots every 10 minutes. Is the probable cause insufficient power, XP bug or virus?

Probably the Sasser worm is doing this:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/sasser.asp
Go there, read up, get the patch. And you will need to run antivirus scans after.

As above, it's most likely the "Sasser" worm. If not there are several other viruses that can cause the same thing.

Just make sure to get ALL the critical updates from http://www.windowsupdate.com and keep a virus scanner on the computer with up-to-date virus definitions.

For complete info. on the Sasser virus and variants, including the Stinger removal tool, check out the following http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_125012.htm.

If the virus isn't the problem, I'd next check your systems power supply, check the fan and pc cover slots for dust accumulation, or anything else that may be impeding airflow through the tower.

Maybe you need to clean the inside of your computer-over heating and shuting dow then rebooting???
