I have found www.eventid.net to be extremely helpful in this regard. You can search by the event ID that appears in the event viewer, and there is a list of suggested solutions. You can access much of it for free, or everything for $15/year. Theevent viewer is usually rather unhelpful, but this site will generally at least point you in the right direction.

Hi

You can go to Microsoft's Knowledgebase and do a search on your error.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[ln];kbhowto

Sellect your OS and type Event Viewer on the "Search for" line. This will take you to the page concerning Event Viewer problems. The upper left corner will have an "Advanced Search" option where you can type in the specific ID number of the event.

I hope this helps.
