Reinstall Access ODBC Drivers - Error in ODBC Admin.

By dmajewski ·
When I go into ODBC Administrator in Windows XP and try to enter a new system DSN using Microsoft Access (.mdb) it is not there as an option. I get an error message that says "The setup routines for the Microsoft Access Drive (*.mdb) ODBC driver could not be found. Pelase reinstall the driver. But, I can't find the drivers to reinstall.

Can anyone help me??? I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall here. I'm sure it's something simple but I am just drawing a blank!!

Thanks

Deb

This is the link to MDAC 2.7. It contains ODBC drivers. Close up spaces, if any, in the URL after you paste it. If for some reason this URL doesn't work for you, do a search on Google for: mdac 2.7 download

There is even a version 2.8 for MDAC on Microsoft's website.

And you probably want to log into your box as the administrator or with an account that has admin rights.
