Just wanted a ‘fun’ topic for New Years Day.
Think back about some of the first hardware or software that you worked on / with.
My exposure to computers started in test equipment for electronics manufacturing.
Some of the first computers I worked on had:
magnetic core memory
paper tape readers
teletypes for ‘user’ interface
8″ hard sectored geographically addressed floppy drives
no crt
My fondest memories are of the HP 85 all-in-one calculator/computer/controller.
It seamed like we could find no task that this little PC could not accomplish.
