Ok I have an issue. I have a remote office that uses remote desktop to log in to our database program each day. We had it set up on a laptop notebook for them to log in to but that eventually burnt up because of it being left on all the time. We switched the target computer to a desktop running xp pro and I set it up exactly the way the notebook was set up, forwarded to the same IP and port that the other one was on. My question is, each morning I have to come in and reboot the machine in order for our remote office to be able to get in to it. Once he gets in and logs off, I have to reboot the machine AGAIN to allow the next user to log in. Can someone PLEASE help me figure out what the deal is? I have the static IP set up on that machine, and it is not releasing or renewing the IP, so I’m not sure what the deal is. DESPERATE for help, tired of rebooting that damn machine. Thanks in advance.
