Remote Desktop for Windows 2003 server

By jdunn ·
I setup a win2003 server yesterday (1st time newbie!) and cannot connect to it via Remote Desktop fron any of my PC's. I enabled the server for RDP and services appear to be running. We do not have a domain, so servers are setup as a workgroup only and all PC's/servers have static IP's. Also, do not have ADO. Just trying to give as much background as I can... Can anyone please assist?

a user on this server.
Give this user a membership at the RDP access list via my comp properties > Remote > Select remote user.
Once done you will be able to use RDP.

If you are a business you should look into the program DameWare. It's a remote-admin program that automatically configures the remote computer in the domain. We use it where I work and I love it. The program includes features that Remote Desktop can't match, such as a Ctrl+Alt+Del button and an ability to save remote profiles.

Does DameWare work if you do not have a domain, only a workgroup?
