Remote Desktop Issues

By traevis ·
I usually use Remote Desktop to access computers at a workplace remotely. First I connect to the workplace VPN, then access the computers by name.

This has stopped working for me, though I know it is not a problem at the workplace as a number of other people use the same method and they are not having any problems.

I can ping the two computers I want to connect to, but once I try to connect with Remote Desktop the first computer gets stuck at "Configutring Remote Session" whilst the other computer lets me in a little further, I enter my logon details and it then gets stuck at "Securing Remote Connection". If I use different credentials that I know are currently able to access the computer from a different location, I get the same response.

Any ideas on what I can try to fix this?

the security settings on your computer are not matching up with the requirements of the vpn server. You should check the IP security settings of the vpn connection.
However this could be something as simple as the date and time being wrong on your computer

Allow work to fix the error

You need to inform your workplace you cannot connect, it could be a problem on their end that only affects you. Either way their I.T. people should be able to fix this problem for you.
