Remote Desktop No Longer Requires Certificate to reach Server

By boborick ·
Remote Desktop 6.1 Can reach login prompt on server without a certificate. We had security working so a client without the certificate from our server could not even get to a login prompt in the past. Now it's wide open. What's up... Anyone???

Disabled remote registy editing?

by robo_dev In reply to Remote Desktop No Longer ...

the authentication config is in the server registry, so either somebody locally hacked it, or somebody remotely did.

I suppose some Windows update could have nailed it, but I doubt it....

there are lots of automatic hacks to change the remote desktop login.

Help with setup

by JoshuaThompson In reply to Remote Desktop No Longer ...

I am looking to setup one of my corporate servers to require any PC that is going to RDP to it to have a certificate. I have been looking for a while with no luck on how to accomplish this and stumbled across this post.

Would you be willing to provide me with documentation on how to set this up?
