Make sure VPN runs as service

by syadm In reply to remote desktop over vpn

First make sure that XP box has the checkbox in Controlpanel -> System -> Remote -> Remote Desktop(on lower half) is set to accept remote users.

Go into "Select Remote Users" and add an account from the local computer.

When you connect from server to client, you must use the above local account in the XP box.
The XP box should not have any logged in users or they will be logged off when you log on.

This also means that the VPN software(&sessionhandler) must be running as a service, not as a logged on user.

Hope this helps.
