Firstly, I want to great everybody will read my words and take from his time to help me.
We installed Symantec Endpoint 11.0 Antivirus 11 month ago, it’s already installed on a main antivirus server and nearly 20 computers.
Now license will expire after 1 month, so I accessed Symantec Site to renew our license, but they told me that our license can’t be renewed via internet and i should contact one of Symantec partners in our country.
After I contacted many partners, I found that I will pay same price like first time I bought antivirus, partner will give me just media kit and license document.
All what I need is to know how can I install our new one, Should I install it without uninstalling old one? Is it able to detect old version and update it?
Or should I uninstall old version from main server and all client computers firstly, then install the new one on main server and deploy it to client computers?
If I should do second option, what are benefits can I get from updating? It looks like installing an antivirus for first time.
I need your help to tell me what should I do in details, and how can I get definitions updating from Symantec website, because I know that antivirus should be updated after installing to be its security status good and can be sufficient for security.
