reserve Server IP address on DHCP

If I am giving a static IP address to a server or servers should I have the IP of the server reserve in the DHCP server also.

No need

Make sure you you have all the Static IP addresses on your network OUTSIDE the DHCP scope and you should be fine. For instance say you're operating on a 10.0.0.x subnet and have 25 static IP addresses you could put all your static IP addresses in the 10.0.0.1-10.0.0.26 range and the DHCP scope to cover 10.0.0.27-10.0.0.254

We tend to add reserved addresses to the scope (which is outside the dynamic IP range as Kjell says). Then when you need a new IP address you can see which ones are used and which are free.
