I have got a Intel D845HV motherboard I have got 'User password' set in the BIOS (the system prompts me for a password as soon as I switch on the system before the booting begins). How do I remove it ?

Open your system and set jumper J9G1 to position 2-3 (it'll be on 1-2) and reboot. This will bring the machine up in "maintenance mode" where you can reset the password.

This information is in the manual on pages 22-23.
You can get a copy here:

delete any spaces in the URL.

Also, removing the battery will often reset the BIOS...

Good luck, hope this helps!

what you should do is reset the jumper on the mother board for the bios... that or just pull out the cmos battery for 60 seconds and you should be good.
