I recently purchased a Compaq Presario which worked fine. My daughter deleted some downloaded software but must have deleted some windows files. Now the PC wont boot and produces an error message ‘c:\ windows\ifshlp.sys and c:\windows\system\vmm32.vxd’ files are missing or corrupted. I cant get into safe mode either
I installed the restore disc which goes through the install process but when boots it comes up with the same error message.
Please help
