RGB (monitor) output port

By gurpreet ·
My new laptop, Toshiba U205-S5058, only has RGB (monitor) output port for the video. It is possible for me to still connect the laptop to my television so I can watch movies stored in the hard disk?

If yes, what type of wire would I need to connect the both?

RGB connectors

In most cases the output is a BNC type connector. It takes a special monitor with RGB inputs to function properly. There are available RGB converters to interface either way, from RGB to composite video ofr composite to RGB. Whatever the flavor you need, RGB provides a bit better resolution especially for the bigger displays.
