Right Click INSTALL is missing

By ciscoman1 ·
I have tried everything that has been suggested in other forums to Restore to Right Click install option. In setup Information, (folder options) Everything is correct as are the Registry settings. The ONLY WAY I can even SEE the Install option is if I Click on the QUICK LAUNCH and move a .inf file there. I have also tried Restore Associations with TweakUI,still no go. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated. JR

found solution for missing installoption

by ciscoman1 In reply to Right Click INSTALL is mi ...

I just wanted to thank you for your input and to also let you know that I found a solution for the missing install option for right clicking an *.inf file. I decided to try another File Manager and I have Power Desk 4.0 and when I right clicked on a*.inf file there WAS THE INSTALL option!! I don't know why Windows Explorer will not work but Power Desk shows the install option. Maybe this change in file managers will work for other people as well with the problem I had or possibly a lot of other problems. Worth a try at least, right. JR
