route command help

hello

i’m trying to enter a persistant route on my pc but everytime i do it it comes up with “The route addition failed: the specified mask parameter is invalid. != Destination.”

this is what i’m trying to enter

ip 192.168.4.83
mask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.4.1

i’m trying to set it up so i don’t have to keep changing my ip setups everytime i need to use the internet
