Router Interface Resets

By mehdi.talei ·
I have a problem with router 1811. I have many Interface Resets on my WAN interface (Fa0).
The interface does not change the state (I checked the debug int fa0 and there is no change of status, and also I have a VPN connection established on the interface and it never drops) but the interface resets increase non-stop.

Is there anything that I can check for this issue?

Thanks for your help,

Have you checked with your network provider?

If the line is going up and down, that would give you this.

That is where I would start.

Verified with ISP

Yes, I verified with ISP. They checked on the side, no error found!
they will go onsite this afternoon though to replace their fiber to ethernet converter.

I will let you know if any changes.

Got fixed...

The problem got fixed.
The speed was auto on my interface and 10 on ISP interface. We forced it both to 10 and no more interface resets.

Thanks for all replies.

Setting speed is often recommended

by jdclyde In reply to Got fixed...

I have seen where that autospeed detects the wrong speed, and the only hint was everything was running slow.

Did the provider find it, or did you?

Both os us ;-)

I had a tech of ISP onsite. He first checked all connections then we verified the configuration on both interfaces. It was forced to 10 on their side and Auto on mine (One of their guys advised me to set it to Auto last week)
Then I forced my interface to 10 also and kept an eye on it. So far no error!

Thanks for your answer one more time.
