    routing question

i have been having trouble with routing and was hoping for some help as I am stumped.
I have a firewall router at our gateway which hands out ip’s via dhcp – 192.168.1.1
behind this router/firewall(sonicwall) is another pix firewall. pix gets its ip from the sonicwall. pix ip is the 10.1.0.1 range.
we have a lab setup behind the pix, so we wanted to be able to monitor the traffic inbetween the pix and sonicwall.
192.168.1.1 and the 10.1.0.1 can not see each other, both subnets have internet access, but i can not get the subnets connected to be able to ping between each other
i’ve tried setting a static route, but i must be doing something wrong. thank you
