RSS software Help

By Radio Eng ·
I work in Radio as a Broadcast Engineer.
The down economy has taken its toll on our business too. Large Radio Networks are cutting expences and local radio has cut personel.

Which brings me here...CNN Radio is cutting some of its satalite time and moved some of their audio feeds to its affiliate website as RSS Feeds. This takes a user name and PW for sign in. I have been given until this Sunday at 12 mid to be able to access and download 3 mp3 files of less than 1 meg each into a folder on a PC. Then I will be able to autoload it into my on air system. This RSS program needs to run un-attended on a daily basis to continue loading these audio feeds.

Can anyone here help me to accomplish this.

I have always in the past been able to write a batch file and get audio from a FTP site and auto-load into my system but now it seems RSS is the future and I need a CRASH COURSE.

Just search "RSS"

The explanations and tutorials look good. Do these affiliate websites have any specific requirements for using RSS with them?
