RUNDLL and sound skipping

by dafunk . Updated 24 years, 2 months ago

Hello.

I have a brand new P4 machine running WIN ME. I have 2 minor problems that I can’t seem to figure out:

1- When loading the OS, I continuously get an error promt that says:

RUNDLL
Error in NvQTwk
Missing entry: NvCpIDaemonIt seems to have started after I installed a new driver for my video. I have reinstaled it, but no fix. I can accept the error and continue with no apparent problems. Another user suggests that I uncheck “load color control at start up”. I can’t find this option. Anyone know?

2nd, my sound skips and pops in (what appears to be) time with my HD activity light while playing games. I am not running the games off CD-ROM. I have a PCI sound card and I have disabled my onboard sound. All latest drivers up and running.
Any help?

These questions are re-posts because I feel they deserve a higher point value.

Thanks!
