Saving Password on DUN

Problem
Normally when I use the Dial-up connection, you can tick the box and save the password.
My problem the ****** remain, but the password needs to by typed in manually every time.
System = Windows 2000, Client = Outlook 2000. I would be particularly interested in a respose from anyone who has the above system and has it working.

I have the same configuration and I have saved my password. I click connect and that is it.
You didn’t say what you dialing, but if it’s your ISP, you might wnat unmark the Client for Microsoft Network and File and Print Sharing. For the ISP you just need a single protocol TCPIP.

Open My Computer,and the open the Dial-Up Networking folder.Choose Dial-Up Server from the Dial-Up Networking folder’s Connections menu,and in the Dial-Up Server dialog box,select the type ao access.Hope this helps

Shot in the dark here…
Maybe the DUN is not saving the correct password that you retype. See if you can remove the saved Password from the settings and type it in again. the saved password may be wrong. when you retype it, DUN may not resave the retyped pwd when you type it in.
