SBS 2003 /w 2 DCs … VSS and NTBackup

by spitfire_sysop . Updated 17 years, 2 months ago

Okay,
I have a main server running SBS 2003. I have a file server running a regular WinServer 2003. I wanted the file server to be able to authenticate users in the event the SBS goes down for any reason. I joined the win2k3 server as a new DC to the existing domain and got DNS up and running on it. Seemed to replicate just fine. On that same day, Shadow Copy stopped running and subsequently so did NTbackup. There are absolutely no errors in the event viewer. Everything is scheduled. If I run VSS manually, it works just fine. So does NTBackup. When the scheduled task rolls around, nothing happens. Dear lord, what did I do? and can someone help me fix it?
