I apologize in advance if this has been brought up previously, but i am looking for a tool that will allow me to scan a network for a particular serial number. I work as an administrator over a fairly large network with close to 200 switches. We are in the process of implementing solarwinds as a monitoring tool. I am fairly new to using solarwinds and I do not believe they have the option of searching by serial number. Any input here would be greatly appreciated.
