searching for a computer at remote office

By asp ·
I have two ofices connected with a T1 line and VOIP. The VOIP works fine. OFFICE #1 with computer IP= 192.168.111.30 submask= 255.255.255.0 gateway= 192.168.111.1 has a DSL modem connected and a watchguard SOHO router and a cisco 1720 router. It connects to internet fine and all the other computers in the office.

OFFICE #2 computer IP= 172.16.200.40 submask= 255.255.255.0 gateway= 172.16.200.1 this office has no DSL line but accesses the internet via the T1 line to the other office and it works fine. All computers in this office connect with each other fine. They use a Cisco 1720 router.

When in office #1 I can ping the office #2 and if I do a search for computers I can input the IP address for the computer at office #2 and it finds it and then I can create a shortcut to access a subdirectory on the computer in office #2 and I can map a network drive to that same subdirectory.

When in office #2 I can ping the computer in office #1 but if I do a search for a computer using the IP address of the computer in office #1 it does not find it. If I do a net view to the computer in office #1 net view \\192.168.111.30 it responds with System error 53 has occurred. The network path was not found. If I then ping 192.168.111.30 it replys successfully. If I do a nbtstat -n from office #2 then it responds

Local Area Connection:
Node IpAddress: [172.16.200.40] Scope Id:[]
NetBIOS Local Name Table

Name Type Status
------------------------------------------------------
Serveroffice2 <00> UNIQUE Registered
workgroup <00> GROUP Registered
Serveroffice2 <20> UNIQUE Registered
workgroup <1E> GROUP Registered

If I do a nbtstat -a from office #2 then I get

Local Area Connection:
Node IpAddress: [172.16.200.40] Scope Id: []

If i do a net view from office #2

net view \\Serveroffice2 then I get

Shared resources at \\Serveroffice2

Share name Type Used as Comment
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
My Documents Disk
folderinfo Disk
folderinfo2 Disk
The command completed successfully

On the watchguard SOHO in office #1 I have a static route configured

route to gateway
172.16.200.0/24 192.168.111.251

I just want to be able to find the computer in office #1 from office #2 and map a network drive on the computer in office #2 to a folder in office #1 the way I can do the reverse from Office #1 to office #2 Do you have any idea where I should look or what my problem might be. Both computers are running Windows 2003
