Serial interface numerical keypad [DATACOMP]

By Devinefv ·
I have a numerical keypad. I opened the enclosure box [3.5x5"] and the chip inside say's DATACOMP KP517CA. on the rear of the PC board it say's "KPS17C", NO. 1611017089. It has a coord with a serial plug on it.
I need to use it like a regular numerical keypad running off of a windows based pc, and I need the driver . Any help is apreciated!

The internal parts and the actual model number will not be the same.

I did find a number of drivers on DataComp's web site.

Looking at the product page, some devices do have serial port connections.

I assume that the original product label is missing?
If not, what does it say?
I would try and find the company that distributed the keyboard and see if they have a driver.
Often companies like DataComp are "OEM" suppliers. They make a general purpose product and customize it as required by a distributor.
