Server 2003 rc2 print server

by barnjeff . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

I have a server running server 2003 and have it set up as a print server. What I need to happen is : I have a lab with 60 or so computers I need to add a shared printer to ANY person that logs in to that computer. That I can do by adding the printer globally how ever every time a user logs in it wants you to authenticate to the print server to be able to print. We have many people logging into these machines so it would be problematic to create a username and password on the server for every person. And I don’t want them to have to enter a username and password to print. Is there a way to share the printer with out needing authentication? Share to anyone\everyone on the work group? or even a way to authenticate once and then have it remember the username and password for all accounts created on the machine?
