I wonder if you can help. I have just set up a new 2008 server 64bit with around 7 XP Clients all running XP Pro. All users are joined to the domain.
I have created each user a folder on the server which is shared for thier access and administrators.
I have also created a public folder where everyone has access too.
The problem is when a user puts a large amount of data (around 4gb) into the share it copies it their untill this message comes up:
Something about not being able to contact the server anymore.
Then the user is completly unable to access the mapped drive anymore, error:
X:\ is not accessible
The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.
From the server i can access the share and see all the files, however the user cannot gain access to this folder anymore, even after a complete restart. I have closed all sessions and and folders that the server says is open and still nothing.
Im completly out of idea, anyone got any suggestions?
