Server fails to recognize IDE drive

By HBB ·
I would like to ghost partitions on a compaq server with a RAID 5 config of 2 partitions to an IDE 200Gig HDD then ghost back to the RAID and increase the primary partition size in the process
When I boot via a FDD ghost recognizes the RAID but not the IDE drive.
I am using GhostPE from a Win 98 Boot FDD which may or may not be the problem.
Any help would be much appreciated

Don't use IDE Drive

I had the same experience ghosting a server with 3 36gb scsi drives for an upgrade. What I did was I took a 73GB SCSI drive and configured it as raid 0 and ghost to that drive and 2nd phase was from the raid 0 to the new 3 sets of 73GB SCSI drives configured as raid 5 and it did worked for me.
