Server software

By phunter ·
Does anyone know of a program that can run on MS Windows 2K3 server that 'refresh'/'ghost' each client computer on the network (or certain clients)each night so that when a student logs onto the pc the next day, it is as if it is new each time....just trying to keep pcs from getting cluttered up...thanks

create mandatory profiles for the users. that way no matter what they do while they are logged on, nothing is saved when they log off.

If you are concerned about users installing programs, or changing settings, you can use group policy to control the users environment [in conjunction with mandatory profiles] so that the administrator of the network controls what a users sees, can change, can not change, and has available to use.

You could also look into Citrix or Terminal server so all students automatically use teh citrix server. You would then only have to work with software on the server(s)
