Service Pack 3 for SQL Server Database

By clarkd038 ·
One of our techs "installed" this and it failed on a server at a remote location. Now every time the server reboots it is running a chkdsk. Has anybody ever seen this?

We are thinking about trying to reinstall the service pack to see if it will complete successfully.

The SP shows up in add and remove programs, and doesn't have a remove option. So my thoughts are that it installed the majority of the code but left something out causing it issues.

Thanks for any advice.

Ok its seems that the service pack has failed as you say, I had a problem like this before, have you tried to remove the service pack from the add remove programs. You might find that it will not unistall because all the information is not thier or that it thinks its already installed when it reads the program data base if this is the case then you need this tool to remove it hope or you wont be able to reinstall or uninstall, also make sure to del the folders and files of the services pack this helps.
