Ok, I have been asked to set up a simple bulletin-board type forum for staff to keep track of current and ongoing projects. We are only running Win2K and are not likely to upgrade till we get our new server at least a year down the track.
I have used SharePoint on Win2K3 at another business, and would like to replicate it’s functionality. This is mostly due to the fact that it authenticates via Active Directory (ie current logon) rather than requiring seperate usernames and passwords.
the staff here would not be expected to register their usernames and obtain passwords. I have seen a few open-source BB scripts based on PHP that have special LDAP extensions to do this, but have not been sucessful in getting any to work as desired.
My question is, is there a free/cheap intranet/web-based forum that supports AD authentication out-of-the-box?
(I’m running WAMP5 for my own sanity)
