    Setting up vlan

    Locked

    by storm117 ·

    Hi,

Looking at setting up my first vlan look at many websites and YouTube etc but none the wiser,

    Equipment
    Router Ubiquiti EdgeRouter ER-X
    Switch TP-LINK SL-SG2428P
    AP Netgear WAX610

I have ER Internet going into Port 1 on switch and port 24 is the AP

I have setup a wireless network in AP using vlan 88

I assume I create a VLAN of 88 in the router and give it an ip and dhcp acesss, but what do I put on the switch to allow vlan 88?

    Thanks

To set up a VLAN, configure network devices with unique VLAN IDs, assign ports to VLANs and enable VLAN tagging. Ensure compatible switches and routers support VLAN functionality for seamless communication between designated groups within the network.

To set up VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), configure network switches to create isolated broadcast domains. Assign specific VLAN IDs to different groups of devices, enhancing network segmentation, security, and traffic management.
