SharePoint Error

Every five seconds, our Windows 2003 server logs the following error. How do I troubleshoot? Thanks.

#50070: Unable to connect to the database STS_Config on PUMA\SharePoint. Check the database connection information and make sure that the database server is running.

The error message tells me that some SharePoint services are trying to conenct to the configuration and/or content database, and is unsuccessful.

1. Do you have SharePoint Team Services installed? If you do and don't need it, you should uninstall it.
2. Have you deleted/moved the database(s) SharePoint is looking for? If you deleted them, restore them from backup. If you moved them, use the SharePoint Admin tools to change the location of these databases.
