Sharing data over Air/wifi connection

By wrenken1 ·
Hello,

I don't know if this is a strange question or what. I am travelling out of town. I have a laptop with data on it and a netbook with data on it as well. I would like to share that data between computers. The laptop has an AIR card and the netbook has wifi. Is there anyway I can establish a connection between the two and share the data back and forth? I imagine I would need to set up security as well, as the laptop is normally on the network. I have never tried to do this. Is this possible to do?
Both computers are on Windows XP. Will I be able to share folders in between these computers?
Thanks for your help!

Ken

Just a quick observation here

You'll need to use the WiFi on both Devices to setup a AdHock Network or if both Have Blue Tooth you can use that.

What you can not use is an Air Card on one to communicate with a WiFi connection as these are different technologies that are not compatible with each other.

What you can do however is to share the Air Card's Internet Connection from the NB to the NetBook over the WiFi connection.
