Sharing local printers on a 2003 Server Domain

by tech . Updated 19 years, 5 months ago

I have a client with a small network. My background is not in Windows 2003 server and Active Directory, though I’m learning fast by necessity. They have decided to only allow users (All on XP Professional SP2) to log in to the Domain rather than the local machine. Many of the users have local HP LJ 3120 printers connected to USB. These printers were easily accessible when the users logged on to the local machine. Now, they log in to the domain and can’t even access the printer connected to THEIR OWN computer, let alone allow it to be shared.
My question is, What do I need to do locally and on the server to allow the printer to be seen and accessed by anyone on the network?
