**** P2P

well i got a small network here as a workgroup connected with Internet connection (DSL)....well the speed of connection is 256k....well ma question is that i have a user here that he download so much that i can't to open msn or any webpage.... so any method that i can close P2P programs therought the router software or somthing plz wanna it fast......thx

You go the managed switch where the user is connected and turn the port off would be my first answer.

Packetter or one of the other bandwidth management software programs would be another suggestion

Blocking P2P traffic would be another suggestion.

Preventing end users from installing their own software choices is still another.

Mix and match as meets your needs.

khalid ...install a remote admin ( pc anywhere , anyplace control , remote admin ..etc. ) software as viewer on your pc and as server on the pc that is running p2p programs, silently when the user is away and don't forget to hide it from the toolbar . While the user is doing p2p or anything you can see the processes he/she is running . silently kill or uninstall the p2p he is using . Not very formal move but your network doesn't seem an enterprise or big company ... so you have to be a sniper in this case.for all the other solution BFilmMan is the right guy . take care.
