short cuts

Hi everyone,

I would like to delete some short cuts from within windows 98, how do I do it?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have never needed to do it before.

Regards Peter.

Right click on short cut, left click properties and find out where the target file is located. You mihgt want to know where the file is located for future reference. You can go in explorer or on the desk top and right click on the shortcut and then delete.

What kind of shortcuts are you referring to?
For shortcuts that are on your desktop, you can delete them simply by clicking on them and hitting the delete button.
For shortcuts on the Programs part of the Start Menu, you can delete them eitherby right clicking on the shortcut or going into Windows Explorer and going to the Windows folder, then Start Menu folder and Programs folder and hitting the delete button on the shortcuts you want to delete.
Hope this helps!

Slightly easier than the on above is to Start>Settings>Taskbar&Start Menu>Remove. This does the shortcuts in the whole Start menu tree.
