In Windows ME, how would I go about creating a shortcut to Explorer onto my desktop?

Explorer is a so called system file. It's automatically installed on the desktop. I don't understand. But you can right click on the desktop and choose create new shortcut. follow the directions.

Windows Explorer?

If you are referring to Windows Explorer, the process is very simple.

Browse through the start menu until you get to Windows Explorer.
Right click on the menu item.
Choose send to desktop.
A shortcut for Windows Explorer will be placed on yourdesktop.

This works for ANY program link on the start menu.

You can also use this trick on any EXE file from within Windows Explorer.
