Shutdown

My PC often shutdown without any reason, and it usually happen when I work with software that use a lot of computer resources, like graphics design, etc. Why my PC shutdown without any reason ?

Go to Control Panel -> System. Click the advanced tab and choose startup and recovery. Uncheck the "automatically reboot" box (assuming you have w2k or win xp *note no O/S was given). This will give you an error message instead of it rebooting first, should shed some light on the reason.

It could be overheating and the power supply failing (or the systemboard failing, or the hdd failing) at that point.

It could be memory issues.

It could be resource conflicts.

WHat OS are you using? Specifications of the computer (RAM, speed/age, etc)? Has it always done this? or has it gotten worse over time? What happens if you boot the computer and immediately go into one of your graphics programs? Have you made any changes to the system (either hardware or software)?
We need a bit more info to narrow down the possibilities.

I went through this same thing... Turned out that the processor was not seated properly. If reseating that doesn't work, try replacing it.
