I have one location with a server and about 6 workstations. I also have another store that I would like to connect to the server domain. We setup a VPN at both stores and I can ping the ip address of both the windows 03 server 192.168.254.30 and the ibm server 192.168.254.25. What I do not understand is that the one workstation that we have at the other site can ping both the address, but when I go to setup the domain in the “computer name changes” property box it keeps giving me an error.
I have setup a computer account under the Active Directory Users and Computers [DGLJ5691.EddiesEPT.com] – EddiesEPT.com – Computers Folder.
But I still cannot get it to connect. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas. I also setup a LMHOSTS file, but I am not sure if I set it up correctly or not. Email me back when you get a chance or message me on here.
