Site-to-site VPN

by wesglbrt . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

Okay seriously, I have been trying to get this right for a couple of months now and need some help. I need some advise on the best way to configure a constant site to site vpn tunnel from my central office to a remote office for login authentication, important file database access, etc. I plan to use PPTP instead of IPSec because security of the content on my domain is not important (It would be of no use to anyone but me anyway.) plus I don’t want the hassel of certificates!! I have a Windows 2003 Small Business Server at Central office and my remote office has no server, just PC’s running Windows XP Pro that are all behind a Linksys BEFSX41 router with VPN endpoint. I have tried to connect using the router’s built in Web-based interface wizard but there must be some settings wrong on either end. I have Routing adn Remote access setup on my server. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks, Wes
