I have a couple of Group Policy / software deployment policy questions.
Question 1) I know you can assign software .msi’s, but how do I do a custom install? For example, install most, but not all MS Word features, and don’t install MS Access.
Question 2) Can someone define what “out of the scope of management” means?
Let’s say there’s software deployed with Group Policy/ Software Policies, and has the “Uninstall this application when it falls out of the scope of management”
Then the end user brings a laptop home. Does that qualify as “out of the scope of management?”
When the user boots up at home, and the laptop realizes that the server and GPO doesn’t exist, would that then trigger any software deployed with GPO/Software Deployment, to automatically uninstall itself?
