Software for getting workstation specs

By nsohenick ·
Does anyone know if there is a prgram that can give me the specs of any pc over a network? Hard Drive, RAM, etc. I know there are programs that can give you local machine info. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Software for getting workstation specs

There is. The PCs in question neede to be DMI 2.0 compliant for it to work. Most newer PCs are (less than 3 yrs old).
It is SMBIOS.EXE. I know it is available at www.pcpitstop.com and other sites as well. Be sure to read the documentation that comes with it for configuration information and how to include it in a logon script if desired.

This site offers several versions of their utility. One is a network version.

http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php

Note: the free version of Belarc Advisor is for PERSONAL USE on a single PC only!

From Belarc's web page:
"License: The license associated with this product allows for free personal use only. Use on multiple PCs in a corporate, educational, military or government installation is prohibited. See the license agreement for details."

Here is another package that may be usefull.

Aida is a great program. A little more than I need. Winfingerprint is an okay program. Still a worthy submission.

Thank you too.
