I was asked a question recently about a solution available for setting up and implementing an ‘inner office only’ email platform.
Essentially I know there are a few options, setting up a local domain, sendmail, imap etc to only accept local requests and block outside relays etc. However, any of you know of any out-of-the-box turnkey solutions?
Essentially I have a network with 24 users, all of which are on Microsoft Windows platform and have Outlook from the Office suite.
Without setting up a server environment, say Exchange etc, what would be a solution for allowing them to send email messages to one another within the office but the mailboxes not be available from outside the network; as well as users being able to use the account to send outside the network.
Suggestions.. anyone?
